On the 8th of January 2018, the sensors installed along the monitoring section in Cogne (Ao) have identified an avalanche. The monitoring system has immediately activated the alarm, closing traffic on the road and sending appropriate information to the surveillance personnel. The avalanche, eventually, did not reach the road.
The monitoring system demonstrated its reliability to detect this kind of events.
