One of our latest projects involved the design and management of an integrated monitoring system for an historic building adjacent to a major infrastructure construction site in Genoa. The system combines a Ground-Based Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (GBInSAR) with a vibrometric monitoring network consisting of 12 high-sensitivity sensors.
The GBInSAR system enables continuous, remote displacement monitoring with sub-millimetric precision, making it ideal for capturing real-time deformations. Complementing this, the vibrometric system records vibrations induced by nearby construction activities, allowing for an in-depth assessment of dynamic impacts on the structure.
